HELMSLEYS Black Swan Hotel has been named the Best Wedding Venue in the North East.

The title was awarded as part of the Wedding Industry Awards 2012 at Cafe De Paris in London on Wednesday.

It now means that the hotel now represents the North East in the national final of the awards, which aim to recognise the best suppliers of the UK wedding industry.

Paul O’Hanlon, general manager of The Black Swan said: “We are truly delighted to have been placed as the North East Regional Finalist and thank our couples for voting for us, particularly to Lucy and Stephen who made the initial nomination.

“Weddings are a real passion for the team here at the hotel, they simply love hosting weddings. Many hotels offer a lovely venue but the drawback can be a ‘conveyor belt type’ approach!

“None of the this at The Black Swan, each wedding is exclusive on the day and we offer a variety of wedding styles, making each wedding here a unique occasion.”
