AKIN Oso, the publisher of WED magazine, an all gloss publication that focuses on weddings and relationships during the week declared that the upcoming expo slated for March 24 and 25 will feature the best in the wedding industry from across the world.

According to him, the exhibition will not only be the best but also the biggest in Nigeria as there will be over a 100 exhibitors from within and outside the country and it will give any intending couple and their families an avenue to look at various options open to them, no matter the level of their budget.

The highlight of the exhibition will be the WED couture bridal show and it will have the best of wedding dress designers including Yemi Osokoya from Koseva in London, Frank Oshodi in Nigeria and Maya Otafo,Yemi Osunkoya (Kosibah), Frank Oshodi, Mai Atafo, Ade Bakare among many other notables on parade.

Other activities already lined up according to Oso include review exhibitions, contests, fashion runway shows, fashion demonstrations and photography with renowned photographers.

The Wed Couture bridal show will treat participants at the expo to an interesting showcase of the newest trends in suits and tuxedos, bridal wear, accessories and other fashion points in vogue especially those that are yet to be unveiled to the public.

According to the organiser, this will therefore set the trend on what will be used at weddings this year. He also believes that as the year rolls by, the expo will get bigger and better and it will be the place where intending trend for the bridal industry each year will be determined.

Speaking on how a single man got inspired to make weddings his business, Akin revealed that as a young boy, he had always been fascinated by weddings and when he was outside the country, he saw how it was done there which is what inspired him to, in his own way, make a change by allowing intending couples have a stress free planning for their dream day. What is the selling point of the expo? This is what Akin has to say. “it will serve as a platform for people in serious relationships and lovers getting ready for marriage not only to get inspired but to meet with the power brokers in the industry with the aim of getting rightly informed on new trends in the industry and how to purchase wedding accessories at reduced prices.”

He added that there is also an opportunity for those who want to train to meet with people who will help them out and also counsel them on the options open to them.

As the date for the event draws nearer, akin revealed that spots are now limited as registration is free and there is an incentive in the guise of mouth watering prizes up for grabs as participants register.

Top on the list of prices is an all expense paid lovers vacation, a trip to Dubai or South Africa, blackberry phones and many other prizes.Competitions at the expo holding at the haven in GRA ikeja will be decided by seasoned judges of repute.
